This course will explore containment design and abatement in all areas of public, commercial, private, industrial, educational, governmental, and residential buildings/sites and give information on how to design contaminants to aimed to aid in the proper removal asbestos containing building materials (ACBMs) and asbestos containing materials (ACMs) by a general abatement contractor. This course will prepare the student for a variety of jobs in asbestos management and for the state-administered certification exam (dependent on state regulations). With this certification, the student will be qualified to apply for a position as an asbestos abatement project designer (Estimator/Project Manager) at leading general abatement contracting firms across the US, including US – regulated territories and military sites.
